I’m sure most of you have came across photos from your friends, or saw on social media these beautiful bathing boxes! They are one of Melbourne’s most instagramable place – The Brighton Beach Bathing Boxes!
Situated about 13km away from Melbourne City central, these bathing boxes are actually on a beach called Dendy Street Beach of the Bayside area. These little bathing boxes are not only colourful and pretty go look at, they actually have quite a lot of history behind them too! These bathing boxes are all identical in sizes and constructions, and all retain the Victorian architectural elements. Built with timber framing, weatherboards and corrugated iron roofs, the bathing boxes remain as they did over a hundred years ago!
